Popular Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
The top Indian actor, who announced this via his Twitter handle on Saturday, July 11 urged anyone who may have come into contact with him recently to go for tests to determine their status.
In the tweet, he disclosed that he has been moved to a hospital for treatment adding that his family and staff were expecting results after they have been tested to be sure of their Coronavirus status.
“I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff have undergone, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested” he tweeted.

The 77-year-old has appeared in over 180 films in more than five decades.
India is one of the world’s worst-affected countries by the COVID-19 pandemic with 820,916 confirmed cases and 22,123 deaths as of Saturday afternoon.
Also, the global number of infections has gone beyond 12.5 million with about 561,000 deaths as at the time of filing this report.
