Zamfara Assembly has gone past the impeachment stage and has finally replaced the Deputy Governor, Mahdi Gusau, with Senator Hassan Nasiya as the new face.
According to the report, the decision was made unanimously in the Zamfara State House of Assembly as the choice to install Sen Nasiya was the suggestion of Governor Bello Matawalle.
Yesterday, during the plenary, twenty out of twenty four members voted for the impeachment after the report submitted by the judicial panel of investigation found him guilty of the allegations levelled against him, read by the Speaker of the Assembly, Nasiru Muazu Magarya.

Earlier, everyevery.ng reported that among the allegations levelled against the Gusau were a breach of the Constitution, gross misconduct, financial fraud, and abuse of office.
The panel commenced its sitting on Monday and ended the proceedings the Wednesday, but the embattled ex Dep Gov Gusau, who was the respondent, was absent, yet, must have received news of his removal.
