Popular Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, today took to microblogging site to make a lot of posts that has got people talking.
Rema had a series of posts on different issues which includes music, family, money, development, and so on. There was also a rumoured feud with DMW artists after his performance at the Big Brother Naija Season 5 final show on Sunday.
Ranting about his music, the Nigerian singing sensation laughed off critic who claimed his music is rubbish. He bragged about his style of music which described as being unique due to God’s given melodies which made him to state that he’s not of this world.
His tweet reads, ”Niggas label my music rubbish because I infuse my Edo language. Because I didn’t follow the usual guidelines to music, because I hacked Afrobeats with God-given melodies, they called it ‘Indian’ because they DO NOT UNDERSTAND ME. I’m not of this world, know this now!”
The ‘Woman‘ crooner in one of the tweets also took time to appreciate President Barrack Obama for appreciating his music. He wrote, ”Thank you OBAMA for seeing what I saw in Ironman, lot of niggas couldn’t. I was 18 when I made that song, the beat got 6 sounds. I’ll give that simple beat to half the game and I won’t get a record as strong as IRONMAN.”
