Kelechi Iheanacho Leads Other Super Eagles Stars in Europa League Games
Super Eagles of Nigeria players who are the 2020/21 Europa League all did well yesterday in their various clubs, the likes Leicester City Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, Olanrewaju Kayode, Kevin Akpoguma and Chidera Ejuke were all in actions for their various clubs in the Europa League.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored the last goal to seal his side’s 3-0 win over Zorya in the Group G of the Europa League. The Nigerian gave the assist for the first two goals which opened the scoring. Iheanacho set England international James Maddison for the first goal before setting Barnes to score the second.
The Nigerian scored the third goal in the 67th minute of the game to help his top the Group G of the Europa League. He was however replaced by Ayoze Perez in the 72nd minute.
In the Group I, Samuel Chukwueze and Olanrewaju Kayode played against each other, while Samuel Chukwueze was playing for Spanish side Villareal Olanrewaju Kayode played for Turkish side Sivasspor. Chukwueze provided the assist for Villarreal’s opening goal in their 5-3 win against Sivasspor. Chukwueze provided the assist for Villarreal’s opener scored by Takefusa Kubo in the 13th minute.
Olanrewaju Kayode was on target for Sivasspor after scoring in the 33rd minute to reduce the deficit to 2-1. He was later replaced with eight minutes remaining in the game. Group L game between Hoffenheim amd Crvena Zvezda saw the German club win 2-0 with Supers newest arrival Kevin Akpoguma doing well in the game.
Kevin Akpoguma was In action for Hoffenheim and played 90 minutes of action as his team beat Crvena Zvezda 2-0. Another Super Eagles player who did well again is Chidera Ejuke. the player helped CSKA Moscow hold Wolfsberger to a 1-1 draw away in Group K. Ejuke was brought on in the 46th minute of the encounter and was very impressive with 13 take-ons attempted with 11 of the take-ons completed.
