The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has arrested a former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde.

The former JAMB Chief Executive Officer was arrested for allegedly misappropriating N900 million while heading JAMB and the National Examination Council NECO.

The Commission detained the former JAMB registrar over allegations of multiple identities, office abuse, money laundering, tax evasion, and false statements to public officials.

The ICPC is also questioning the former JAMB boss for allegedly awarding fraudulent contracts to shell companies.

Ex-JAMB Registrar, Ojerinde gathered that he allegedly awarded contracts for the supply of pencil and eraser at the cost of N450 million each between 2013 and 2014.
