Police has arrested three suspected killers of Hussain Gwabba, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as interrogation has commenced to get the truth behind his death.
Investigations into the suspects‘ motive and why the murder took place in Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, is ongoing.
According to the Bauchi police spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakil, who confirmed the tragic event via a press release to newsmen in the state, he said that there is an autopsy already conducted to ascertain what truly happened.
However, while the process is still ongoing, he appealed to the public to exercise a little patience for them to conclude the autopsy first before any other step would be taken.
On 14/05/2022 at about 11 30 Hrs, he said information was received from a good Samaritan that one Husseini Gwabba, 62, the new chairman of APC of Bauchi council, was in distress.
The statement reads in part: “DPO C Division visited the scene in a hotel located behind Specialist Hospital Bauchi where he met the victim vomiting. He immediately rushed him to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi for treatment, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.”
