Nigerian senator and businessman, Ned Nwoko, has sparked intense public debate after declaring that monogamy is an unstable form of marriage. According to him, “having one wife is like standing on one leg” a comment that comes right in the middle of a turbulent conflict with his fourth wife, Nollywood star Regina Daniels.
During an interview on Channels TV on Sunday night, the politician strongly defended his polygamous lifestyle and said he feels “sorry for men who marry only one wife,” arguing that marital balance increases with the number of wives a man has.

“Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg, you know how difficult it is. But it is much more balanced to stand on two, three or four,” Nwoko stated confidently. “I feel sorry for those with one wife. I don’t have any regrets, and I will do the same thing again.”
His remarks have further intensified the buzz around his ongoing marital crisis with Regina Daniels. The actress recently accused her husband of domestic violence in a viral online video, a scandal that continues to dominate headlines and social media conversations.
Responding to the allegations, Nwoko countered with claims that Regina had been abusing substances a response that only deepened the controversy surrounding their troubled marriage.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Regina Daniels on Sunday evening shared a photo that raised new questions about the state of their relationship. The picture, taken on the balcony of what appears to be a new home, came with a caption that read: “I needed a roof over my head.” The post has triggered widespread speculation that the actress has left her marital home and possibly acquired a new residence in Lagos State.
With both sides openly calling each other out and tension escalating daily, many are now watching to see what becomes of one of Nigeria’s most talked-about marriages.
