Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes has been ruled out of the season after sustaining an injury in their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal. According to reports, he will miss the rest of the English Premier League season so as to help him have further surgery on his left knee.
Harvey Barnes Euro Hopes Dashed
The 23-year-old has not played since picking up the injury in Leicester’s 3-1 defeat against Arsenal in February. He will also miss Euro 2020 due to an injury. Leicester City manager speaking about the injury said: “It’s a shame he will miss the Euros because he has been outstanding.
“Leicester City currently sits in the third-place position with the hope of qualifying for next year’s Uefa Champions League. Harvey Barnes had surgery earlier this year but Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers said he has since suffered a “slight setback” in his recovery.
The manager said: “The plan is to get Harvey through the second operation and be back for pre-season.” “The most important thing is to get his knee right.”
