Brighton and Hove Albion head coach, Graham Potter, has agreed on terms to become the next head coach of the London club, Chelsea FC.
On Wednesday, Chelsea sacked their German coach, Thomas Tuchel, after an opening Champions League game loss to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.
Tuchel’s team has found it difficult to hit top form after their preseason struggles crept into the new season, managing only one win out of six league games.
Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, was reported to have met with Potter after Brighton gave the go-ahead.
The meeting was described as positive after both sides reached a verbal agreement about the coach’s switch to Stamford Bridge.
Graham Potter will become the first managerial appointment of the American owner era following the summer takeover.
