From its hunting of ghost workers, the Government has realised five hundred million naira (N500 million) while conducting staff screening in Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed Bala stated this on Tuesday while flagging off the distribution of empowerment items at Ganjuwa local government area of Bauchi State.
He said the ghost workers’ syndrome had negatively affected the state, adding that it has crippled government programmes as the money meant for employment of several persons are going to individual pockets.
