The Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai has disclosed that he had recovered from Coronavirus infection after testing negative for the virus.
The governor disclosed this on his Twitter handle and expressed delight over his recovery after about four weeks.
He confirmed that he tested negative after two consecutive tests.
The tweet reads “I am delighted to report today, that after nearly four weeks of observing a strict medical regime, I have now received the all-clear after two consecutive negative test results.”
Governor Nasir El Rufai Recovers From COVID-19
In another tweet, the governor appreciated his deputy, Hadiza Balarabe and other government officials for holding forth during his absence.
“I wish to acknowledge our Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, for her reassuring leadership of our team in my absence. Our senior officials have demonstrated admirable commitment and the flexibility to provide governance in circumstances that are so different from the old normal
Also, the Mallam El Rufai disclosed that he participated in the daily meeting of the state standing committee on COVID-19 moments after he was discharged.
“Moments after his discharge, Malam Nasir @elrufai and Deputy Governor @DrHadiza
kicked off the daily meeting of the State Standing Committee on COVID-19 before heading off to a meeting of the Nigerian governors’ Forum.”
