Government Still Negotiating Release of Kidnapped Train Victims

The Federal Government has revealed that they are still working on modalities to guarantee the freedom of the kidnapped Abuja-kaduna Train victims barely over a month ago.

According to President Muhammadu Buhari who gave the assurance to the loved ones of those still under the captive of their abductors, saying that the government is working hard to make sure nothing happens to them and that they are happily reunited to their families.

Buhari spoke recently in Abuja when he hosted residents of the FCT who paid him Sallah homage, where he then directed security agencies and the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC to provide detailed information to families of the victims regularly.

He assured them that there are efforts being installed to secure the release of the victims and ensure that they get home unhurt by the bandits.

“As we celebrate this occasion with joy amidst friends and family members, we’re fully conscious of the fact that many families in our country are in a state of fear and anxiety. This is on account of the many captives held by terrorists against their will; including those taken away in the tragic attack of the Abuja-Kaduna train service.” He said.
