The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu has justified President’ Buhari’s decision not to talk too much about the various allegations levelled against Fulani herders in some part of the country.
Speaking on Channels TV, Garba said Nigerians should agree that himself and Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity could speak on behalf of the President.
According to Garba, President Buhari believes in fewer talks and more action than a mere show off.
He noted that the challenges bedevilling Nigeria requires that every hand should be on deck to tackle the problems rather than getting involved in blame games.
Garba Shehu Defends Buhari
Mallam Garba further countered the statement credited to Senator Abaribe, who accused President Buhari of not speaking against the attacks allegedly perpetrated by Fulani Herdsmen.

When asked about the importance of the assertive words and body language of President Buhari, the Presidential aide accused the media of not doing a thorough follow up with reports about the happenings around the country.
“The problem is that we are not following up our stories as a media, and I hope the Headquarters of the police would publish the full list of Fulani herders who are undergoing trials, particularly in Benue State.”
Meanwhile, Garba opined that President is concerned about the security crises across the country, including those triggered by ethnic discontents.
