Months after he was accused of collecting kickbacks from public works contractors, the Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has threatened to investigate those behind the Gandollar video.
Ganduje, who insisted that some criminal elements cloned the video to deface his image noted that he had launched an investigation to expose those behind the video.
The Governor described the video as fake, adding that it was just a setup plan to stop him from contesting or winning the 2019 elections.
You will recall that a video went viral in 2018; in the video, Ganduje allegedly collected bribe from contractors in Kano State.
However, the viral video triggered public criticism and calls for further investigations, as many Nigerians have continued to mock the Kano governor.

In the meantime, An American university had denied appointing Governor Ganduje as a visiting professor.
According to East Carolina University, the letter Ganduje got from a faculty member was unauthorised by the appropriate officials.
