The Chairman of Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna state, Elias Manza said gunmen, suspected to be Fulani militia on Thursday attacked three communities in the state.
Speaking with journalists, he explained that seven people were killed in Takmawai while 13 others were killed in Kurmin Masara in what seems like a coordinated attack.
Manza added that several houses were burnt down by the attackers while residents fled their homes to neighbouring communities for fear of more attacks.
Fresh Attacks In Kaduna
Channels Tv reported that the series of fresh attacks carried out on Kurmin Masara, Apyia Shyim and Takmawai communities respectively claimed no fewer than 20 lives with several others injured.
The fresh attacks come a few days after security agencies were deployed to the vulnerable communities of the state to prevent residents from further attacks.

You will recall that the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu had directed the Commissioner of Police in the state to deploy both human and material assets of the Intervention to Kaduna state.
The deployment is aimed at safeguarding the lives and property of people in the communities.
In the meantime, the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has linked the attack on the state especially the southern part to banditry.
Earlier, Governor El-Rufai, who met with traditional rulers to seek support in ending the killings stressed the need for all hands to be on deck towards bringing a lasting solution to the troubled area and other parts of the state.
El Rufai also challenged the traditional rulers to fish out criminal elements in their midst.
