As the Rotimi Akeredolu-led Government marks her third year in office, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ayo Fadaka has bared his mind on the achievements recorded by the ruling APC Government in Ondo state.
In a phone interview with everyeveryng, Fadaka, who is the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP, South West said the anniversary was just for the fun of it, adding that the APC-led government is only painting old projects as new for the people.
He noted that Akeredolu-led Government has not been able to surpass the achievement of the previous government under the leadership of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko of the Peoples Democratic Party.
It would be recalled that Akeredolu after his inauguration noted that it will be hard for any governor to outshine Mimiko with his numerous achievements.

While speaking on the projects to be commissioned by the present administration, Fadaka said the Akeredolu-led Government is planning to commission uncompleted projects
”He said he is commissioning roads, and most of those roads are uncompleted. Most of the roads have been under construction since last year, and that is what he has to show us’’
Reacting to the Ore flyover project, he described it as a project that would reduce accidents on that route, but thinks the project sum is laced with shadiness.
Fadaka told everyeveryng that the PDP had commissioned a contractor to investigate a realistic such project could go for.
He however described it as the only thing Governor Akeredolu has as his achievement in the last three years.
Speaking on the education sector, Fadaka said primary and secondary school students are now paying money to the purse of the state government.
On the health sector, he said child delivery is no longer free in the state as it used to be under the PDP administration.
The PDP chieftain disclosed that residents of the state are now made to pay tenement rates to the state government instead of paying to the local government councils.
On the issue of security in the state and the western security network codenamed ‘Operation Amotekun, Fadaka said ‘’Amotekun is not Akeredolu’s brain child and he can not take glory for it, “the whole South-West Governors came up with the idea of using Amotekun to tackle insecurity in the region”.
He continued ‘’I released a press statement last year May, stating that the South West is under siege and the death of Chief Olu Fasoranti’s daughter is a confirmation to that”
”Many pressure groups have also written to that effect, so finding a solution to this unfortunate state of our security is a collective thing, he can not use that to gain sentiments.
