No fewer than 194 people have died and nearly 100,000 rendered homeless in Kenya due to incessant heavy rains in the past three weeks.
According to local authorities, the torrential downpour has also caused severe flooding across the country.
An official said several dams are in danger of bursting, and the Kenyan government is urging people living in flood-prone areas to move as soon as possible and stay away from danger.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of health in the country said there was fumigation exercise at JKUAT quarantine facilities to host repatriated Kenyans to a safe and conducive place for them to quarantine for 14 days.
Also, the Ministry said it had instructed that all routine services in its health facilities continue to run uninterrupted.
In a circular posted on Twitter, the Health Ministry said there is an elaborate guideline on managing maternal health cases during this pandemic.
