The Nigeria Immigration Headquarters in Abuja has reportedly been gutted by fire on Sunday, January 10 with some offices left in ruins.
It was gathered that the cause of the inferno which destroyed some parts of the structure is yet unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, in a tweet by the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, it was stated that the fire has been put out by the Federal Fire Station with support from other agencies around the airport.
The Agency, however, disclosed that an investigation has been launched into the incident as it was stated that no casualty has been recorded.

In the meantime, the NIS has given an assurance that the incident will not in any way affect the discharge of their services.
The NIS headquarters is located along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Road, Abuja.
