A committee has been inaugurated by the Federal government to work out the modalities of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Julie Osagie Jacobs, the committee will develop a framework under a public-private partnership.
In a statement by Julie Osagie Jacobs, the Inter-Ministerial Technical Expert would also prepare a template for coordination of inter-governmental policies, projects and programmes.
He added that the committee will harness opportunities for collaboration and cooperation among all Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
However, the permanent secretary in the ministry, Festus Daudu has charged members of the committee to do a good job.

He noted that their contribution to President Buhari’s promise to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next 10 years will enable their name to be written in gold.
The committee which has representatives of Ministries of Health, Environment, Labour and Employment, Power, Sports and Youth Development; Water Resources, Humanitarian Affairs and Women Affairs
The Director, Human Resources, Bassey Etim Ekang, was announced as the coordinator of the Inter-Ministerial Technical committee.
