The Federal Government has extended the enrolment for Batch C beneficiaries of the N-Power Programme till August 8.
In a tweet, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq said over 5 million applications have been received for the scheme.
It was gathered that the online application process, which began on Friday, June 26, was to have ended Sunday, July 26, 2020, before it was extended by two weeks.
N-Power Application
According to a statement by Mrs Rhoda Ishaku Iliya, the Deputy Director, information of the Ministry, the extension is to afford everyone an opportunity to register online given the difficulties some people might encounter in gaining access to the N-power portal.
Reacting to the protest embarked upon by some N-Power beneficiaries, the Minister revealed that her Ministry would review and address their demands as practically possible.

Earlier some beneficiaries of the programe had requested that the federal government employ all the 500,000 N-Power beneficiaries as well as pay them a grant of N600,000 each.
However, the Federal Government said on that it could not afford a grant of 300 billion naira being demanded by N-Power beneficiaries.
The N-Power Programme was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 under the National Social Investment Programme with the aim of lifting citizens out of poverty through capacity building, investment and direct support.
