If you really want a multi-talented man, then Chief Femi Fani Kayode cannot be far-fetched. Adding to his list of profession is acting after he shared on his Facebook page about his cameo appearance and debut in a Nollywood series titled ‘’Silent Prejudice’’. We have seen the Nigerian Politician acting with his posts and tweets on social media, it’s now time to see his thespian skills on screen.
Who is Femi Fani Kayode?
If you check the Nigerian tabloids and news coming from the Nigerian socio-political scenes then you would be familiar with Femi Fani Kayode. If not, then you have to know about him. His full name is David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode. He is a prominent Nigerian politician, essayist, poet, and lawyer.
Femi Fani Kayode has once served as the Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to President Olusegun Obasanjo from July 2003 until June 2006. He has also served as a former Minister of Culture and Tourism as well as a Minister of Aviation.
The 59-year-old who hailed from Osun State Nigeria has been one of the major members of the ruling party’s opposition i.e. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Times without number since his party became an opposition party, Femi Fani Kayode has used his office to fight the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Femi Fani Kayode Debut as an Actor
The Nigerian lawyer shared on his Facebook the news of his debut in Nollywood. Fani Kayode was seen on set in the movie series titled ‘Silent Prejudice’ produced by Chris Oge Kalu and is centered on the evils associated with the Osu cast system.
Femi Fani Kayode is not the only Politician in the series. Other famous names include Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Chief Dan Iwuanyawu, and Kogi state’s Senator Dino Melaye.
The first season of the Nollywood series is set to be aired on AIT every Wednesdays at 9pm. The second season which stars Femi Fani Kayode and other Politicians will soon be aired on the same TV station.
