As President Muhammadu Buhari marks his 78th birthday on Thursday, his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has reacted to alleged cloning of Buhari.
There are speculations that current Nigeria’s President is Jubril from Sudan and not Muhammadu Buhari, who had reportedly died during the medical vacation in 2017.
The presidential aide in an article on Thursday noted that it is unfortunate that even some intellectuals believed the speculations about alleged cloning of Buhari.
Adesina further explained that on the day the President finally returned to the country in August 2017, after months of absence, he was able to recognise him in his unusual complete Agbada, with a cap to match.
Cloning of Buhari
The Presidential aide wondered if a Jubril from Sudan would know his name as Adesina and that he rarely wears Agbada.
Adesina also explained that the President was able to remember his old friend, Lindsay Barret, a journalist whom he met at the war front in 1968 when he was covering the war.
However, he described Buhari as a loyal and kind man, who never forgets a good turn. Adesina stressed that the President is a patriot, who loves Nigeria dearly.
According to Adesina, President Buhari is a man of personal discipline, who is single-minded about the infrastructural development of the country.
