Governor Kayode Fayemi has on Friday unveiled his administration’s plan to construct 1,000 housing units for civil servants in Ekiti state.
Speaking during a state-wide broadcast to mark the New Year, Fayemi described the housing units as part of his government’s commitment to making life bearable for the workers.
Fayemi, who reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensure a safe, secure, and prosperous Ekiti State in 2021 stated that all residents will feel the better impact of governance in all the key sectors.
The Governor, however, pledged to deliver all ongoing projects that would add value to the economy and lives of the people of the state.

Fayemi also urged the people of the state to approach 2021 with the determination to restore lost hopes brought about by the challenges of 2020.
Speaking on Coronavirus, the governor advised residents to abide by COVID-19 protocols to curb the rate of infection.
Meanwhile, he enjoined the residents to cultivate the habit of volunteering information to their traditional rulers for onward transmission to relevant security agencies.
