Popular Nigerian music artist, M.I Abaga has stated that government is shutting down all access to news.
M.I Abaga made this revelation following the recent unrest in the country. The former Chocolate City record label boss stated that the government is systematicllay shutting down all access to news with internet being the next target after news channels are down.
M.I wrote, “They are systematically shutting down all access to news via news channels…internet may be next”
This was after some Nigerian TV stations are reportedly going off-air. The local media stations have also been alleged by Nigerians for not covering the Lekki Tollgate massacre which made many peaceful protesters lost their lives and injured.
In other news, angry youths have reportedly burnt TV station, Television Continental as well as attacking BRTs, NPA, FRCN, and Oba of Lagos Palace.
