In the wake of the calls for scrapping the Special Anti Robbery Squads, SARS by many Nigerians who considered the squad as a threat to the society, Nigerian singer, Runtown, has taken to his Twitter page to announce a peaceful protest against police brutality.
This comes after controversial Nigerian music artist, Afeez Fashola aka Naira Marley also planned to do lead a peaceful protest against the Police department that has been a scourge in the society.
According to Runtown, SARS brutality has gone long enough, and now is the time to take action. The ‘Gallardo’ crooner said the protest would take place on Thursday, October 8th, 2020.
His tweet reads, ”This has gone long enough and now we MUST take action! I’ll be leading a protest to #ENDSARS on Thursday, October 8th 2020.
”They MUST listen to us, they MUST make/effect REAL and VISIBLE changes! Empty promises won’t work this time!!!” he added.
