Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P, stated that Nigerian youths are ready to speak up against bad governance and make things right in the country.
The music artiste made this known while responding to questions from a TV reporter during the #ENDSARS protest that took place at Lekki Toll gate, Lagos. Mr P joined other Nigerian youths in a peaceful protest to put an end to Police/SARS brutality in the country.
While responding to the reporter, Mr P stated that the protest would continue as long as the demands of young Nigerians which they termed as ‘5 For 5’ aren’t met. The other half of the Psquare brothers claimed he had to be out there for his fellow youth even though he is blessed but many Nigerians are suffering.
He therefore pledged that Nigerian youths will continue to speak up and say no to bad governance as well as making things right because the leaders have failed the citizens.
In his words, “For me, I’ll say it, the government has messed with the wrong generation“. He added, “….government, the Police, we are not fighting you guys, please allow us to express our rights”
Meanwhile, five (1 in Anambra, 4 in Lagos) of the Policemen that had ended the lives of young Nigerians had been brought to book according to the governor of the respective states.
