The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has ordered all operators of Almajiri schools to leave the state.
El-Rufai said those who have Almajiri schools in the state have the option to either relocate or face the consequences of choosing to stay. Meanwhile, the Governor said he was sure of the propriety of his administration’s actions.
According to El-Rufai, his administration had developed and approved a social protection policy to support the most vulnerable.

The Kaduna Governor said the social investment office has been working across the 24 local government areas to have a comprehensive social register of the poorest, adding that his government had registered over one million households in Kaduna.
Meanwhile, officials, traditional rulers, members of the National Assembly, academics, and media personalities on Wednesday joined El-Rufai for the Kaduna State 2020 Security Report’s presentation.
In the meantime, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Health, Amina Mohammad Baloni, has confirmed that the state has received 180,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for frontline health workers, essential staff and those covered in Phase 1.
