In respect of Eid-ul-Fitr for the year 2020, the Federal Government has declared Monday and Friday public holiday in Nigeria to commemorate the celebration.
This was contained in a press statement released by the Director of Press, Ministry of Interior on behalf of the Minister, Rauf Ogbeni Aregbesola. In the statement, Aregbesola congratulated the muslim faithfuls. He further urged them to live lives worthy of emulation and peace.

While wishing them a happy celebration, the Minister reminded them to apply caution as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Rauf Aregbesola also urged the faithfuls to desist from all forms of ethnic and religious conflicts. He advised that involving in such sows the seed of disunity.
