Edward Christopher Sheeran, with stage name Ed Sheeran, has said he is obsessed with Nigerian Fireboy’s Peru, and he is ready to feature in the remix.
The English songwriter and artist made this in a chat with Elton John via Apple Music’s ‘Rocket Hour’ platform.
Ed Sheeran noted that he is obsessed with this song as it has become addictive.
Sheeran revealed that he got to know about ‘Peru’ through a friend Edwards Jamal, who sent it to him for a remix a week ago.
He noted that Jamal told him,” ‘Fireboy DML’ would love you on the remix of this song, and I’ve just found it intriguing.”

He said he recorded a verse for the remix, noting that the song is currently blowing the airways in Nigeria and Ghana.
“So you put a song to the club in the middle of December, which would seem a weird thing to do in England. But yeah, I have done the remix for this song, but the original is just an ear-worm; it’s addictive, and I’m obsessed with it.
“I mean, Cherry will tell you, I’ve had this song on repeat constantly in the house for the last week,” Ed Sheeran said.
Peru became the first Nigerian solo song to top the Afrobeats UK chart for four straight weeks in a row.
