Drug ‘queenpin’, a very popular peddler of illegal substances, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, following months of thorough investigations to end her large operations.
The notorious drug peddler, known in TarabaState as Lami Mai Rigima, who supplies very dangerous substances to the traffickers in the state, was finally napped and placed under the agency’s custody.
It would be noted that Rigima is a forty-year-old “queen of the drug world” who came under the anti-narcotic agency’s searchlight when a number of traffickers arrested in the state in 2021 and early 2022 fingered her as their supplier.
How NDLEA Operatives Nabbed Drug Queen
The operatives reportedly monitored her operations to a particular hideout in Iware village in Taraba’s Ardo Kola Local Government Area, LGA, where she was then brought in for questioning.
In a statement put out by the Agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, he noted that their search for the notorious dealer started in early October 2021 following the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of another drug dealer, Abdullahi Madaki, for a similar crime.
According to Babafemi, the agency’s officials “arrested a cross border drug trafficker, Emeka Okiru, 40, with 32,700 tablets of Tramadol 225mg under the brand name: Royal and Tramaking. He was arrested at Garden city, Mubi, Mubi North LGA on Tuesday, April 5, while preparing to supply his customers who came from the Republic of Cameroon. The drugs were found concealed in cartons of paintbrushes.” He added.
