At the top of this list is the claim by the federal government through the ministry of humanitarian affairs that they have successfully distributed the sum of twenty thousand naira to about 2.6 million Nigerian families. From the photo reports given out from this ministry, the minister was seen distributing these monies cash to a group of people. At the moment, there is yet to be an official release of the names or the local governments of these recipients.

This leads up to the allegation on lawmakers insisting that the relevant senate committee should be consulted before any distribution of funds to the public. This move, by popular opinion, is to enable them to include the names of their loyalists among those to receive the federal government palliative.
