Nigerians get emotional at Dele’s suicide note
A young Nigerian man identified as Dele Bandele allegedly committed suicide after dropping a heartbreaking message for his friends and family on social media and Dele’s suicide note has moved many to tears.
Dele Bandele was a digital advertising strategist that lived in Lagos. He was declared missing by his fans and family on Tuesday , 12th of January 2021 after he was last seen at Omole Phase 2. Hours after been declared missing, he was found dead after he had dropped a suicide note for his close friends on Instagram.
In this note, Dele mentioned how he had been battling depression for 7 years and had to finally put an end to it a week after his birthday. In this sad note, he asked his friends to forgive him and take care of his family that will be left behind.
Towards the end of the note , he mentioned a regular quote of his which now strikes a deeper message to those who knew him. He wrote, “Life is like a party. When you stop having fun, leave”.
