Talks suddenly arose regarding Yakubu Deborah’s death following some unguarded comments from Shehu Mahdi, a member, Atiku Abubakar’s Campaign Team of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mahdi earlier posted a video on Twitter that seemed he wasn’t just asking the Northern Christians to avoid voting for Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, LP, but felt like he was instigating them against fellow Southern Christians.
Aisha Yesufu, who came across the video, quickly took to her Twitter page to record a five-minute clip to address Mahdi’s looseness.
Questioning his stance, she asked whether he spoke out when Debora was murdered in the North while the sun was out during the daytime.
She probed his conscience and quizzed him over Deborah’s ethnic identity, demanding to know whether she was not a Northerner enough due to the way they killed her in the streets.
Yesufu described Mahdi’s actions as ‘Disgusting, Insulting, Condescending,’ and shows Nigerians’ regard for him.
