Popular Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke aka Davido shades Wizkid’s million dollar deal
This subtle shade came in after a fan quoted Davido’s previous tweet following Wizkid’s deal and asked him if he still takes his stand.
Davido’s initial tweet read,
“Fk an Endorsement deal ask for part of the company .. #Changetherules”
Following this tweet, a fan asserted that the only reason Davido tweeted this was because he was not capable of getting big deals like his counterparts. T
he Twitter user also made reference to Wizkid’s $3 million deal and asked who would say no to a deal that big.
The tweet from the user known as FIASCO read,
“Davido said “fk endorsement deals” because he doesn’t get proper offers from proper companies… Who would say no to a UBA deal worth $3million?
This is why it is very important for artists to grow organically.”
Davido responding to this implied that the $3 million was a small change that he would easily spend on jewellery.
He tweeted,
“3 m dollars? Lmao ….. something wey go finish now now Cc @icebox.”
This response has gotten a lot of response from fans of both artists.While some are bashing Davido’s response, others feel he was right to make that comment.
