Nigerian music stars, Davido and Burnaboy has been revealed to feature on Pop Smoke’s ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon’ Post-humous album.
American rapper, singer, and songwriter, Bashar Barakah Jackson, known professionally as Pop Smoke was shot dead in his Los Angeles home on February 19, 2020. He was set to release his debut studio album later in the year before his life was cut short.
The artist began his career in 2018 and quickly gained fame after he releases his breakout single ”Welcome to the Party” in April 2019.
Davido and Burnaboy Makes Pop Smoke’s Post-Humous Album
Nigeria’s Davido and Burnaboy were among the music artists featured on Pop Smoke’s debut album ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon’.
The album was due for released on June 12 but was dropped Post-humously in July to commercial success, reaching number one in several countries, including on the US Billboard 200, with the entire album also charting on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nigerian artists, Davido and Burnaboy joined other American artists such as Jamie Foxx, Young Thug, Gunna, Swae Lee and so on.
Davido blessed the post-humous album with a dancehall song titled ‘Tsunami‘ while Burnaboy features on the remix of one of Pop’s hit songs.
Pop Smoke is supposed to clock 21 today, 20th of July, 2020. Our thoughts are with his family in these times.
