David Umahi, the Ebonyi State Governor, has taken back what he said regarding the judge that passed judgement for his immediate evacuation from office yesterday, following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to All Progressives Congress, APC
Umahi as a sitting Governor was sacked from his governorship position alongside his Deputy Governor, Kelech Igwe by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Moments after Umahi got the judgement, he accused the judge of carrying out a hatchet job for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, describing the ruling as “jungle justice” and insisted that nobody could remove him as governor of Ebonyi State.
David Umahi’s Statement in Brief
“Nobody can remove me as the governor of the state as we know where the judgement came from, adding that“Justice Ekwo has more than 10 cases against the state government and we will see where this leads him,” Umahi disclosed.
However, this statement But did not go down well with the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA which demanded an apology from the governor.
