Many people must be wondering like me what is happening with the recent decorations in various companies, it is because is Customer Service Week. Every 3rd of October to the 7th is set aside to celebrate customers in Nigeria. This celebration is not one any can neglected easily as it is recognized nationwide.
How Customer Service Week Celebration came to be
About 30 years ago, the U.S. Congress proclaimed Customer Service Week a nationally recognized event, celebrated annually during the first full week in October. The event is an international one and it is devoted to recognizing the importance of customer and to honour the people who serve and support customers with the highest degree of care and professionalism.
Since 1991, the Customer Service Group has sponsored the official Customer Service Week program. The group provides how-to information, celebration materials imprinted with the official Customer Service Week logo, and inspiration from the hundreds of service and support professionals who share their celebration stories, plans and ideas.
On the occasion of the week, during this period. the customers are given special access to some behind-the-scene moments of its customer support team. In some companies, they give awards to workers who are very committed to service to customers.
