The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA has issued a directive to Churches in Abuja on the conduct of cross over service.
According to the Head of Media and Public Enlightenment of FCT COVID-19 Task Force, Comrade Ikaro Attah, church leaders must obey government directives to avert the spread of the virus.
Attah in a statement on Wednesday advised worshippers to join the program through online platforms adding that a combined team of the Task Force will be going round to monitor compliance during the service.
He noted that the Task Force had received a directive from the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, and the Commissioner of Police on the need to ensure that residents obey the COVID-19 protocols.
Cross Over Service
Attah further stated that the Task Force would collaborate with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN at all levels and league of Imams.
He urged worshippers to put on their face masks, provide washing hand basin as well as keep physical distancing noting that all the worship Centres should not be overcrowded.
Meanwhile, he warned that any worship center found contravening the COVID-19 protocol will be made to face the wrath of the law.
