Former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been tipped for a return back to Old Trafford.
According to reports by ESPN’s Chris Martin, Manchester United has approached the Portugal captain and will like to have him back at the ‘Red side of Manchester’.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Manchester United as a rising star in 2003 aged 18. The Madeira-born spent six years at United (2003-2009) winning three EPL titles as well as his first Ballon d’or among other accolades.
The five times world player of the year, currently plying his trade in Italy with Juventus is open to a move back to his boyhood club.
Ronaldo is reportedly considering the move & Juve would then have to sanction any transfer for the attacker, who is contracted in Turin until 2022.
Meanwhile, the Portugal national team captain came from the bench to score in a 7-0 thrashing of Andorra last night. The goal made it 102 international goals for Ronaldo.
The former Real Madrid FC forward is now eight goals away from becoming the highest goalscorer in international football history.
