A popular author, Reno Omokri has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari intends to take Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines on live Television while a cheaper and less effective one is to be given to citizens.
In a tweet, Reno noted that such a move will defeat the purpose of spending a huge amount of money on the vaccines as he also challenged President Buhari to take the same vaccines as Nigerians.
Earlier, it was reported that Buhari and his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will take the COVID-19 vaccine on live Television to motivate Nigerians to do the same.
Meanwhile, Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE have reportedly raised their vaccine production target for the year 2021 to 2 billion shots.

This is coming on the heels of the announcement made by U.S. President-Elect Joe Biden’s team that he will distribute more of the available doses of coronavirus vaccines once he takes office.
It was gathered that vaccine supply has been under intense scrutiny as Europe faces a new variant of the COVID-19 virus that first emerged in the United Kingdom.
The European Union had last week sealed a deal to double its supply of Pfizer-BioNTech shots to as many as 600 million with a new production site to be located in Marburg, Germany.
