Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammed Bello has inspected a 5-storey building that can serve as an isolation & treatment facility for COVID-19 patients, should the need arise in the city.
The minister embarked on the inspection alongside top officials of the FCTA.
The building, located at the Idu area of Abuja is a new training facility that can be modified to suit the purposes of a treatment and isolation center as required by the health authorities.
Earlier, the Minister has ordered the closure of shops in markets and neighborhood centers to traders across Abuja.
Bello explained that the measure was to help tackle the spread of COVID-19 across the city of Abuja.
He, however, stated that only shops selling essential products and bakeries are to remain open but should abide strictly to laid down measures.
