The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has taken the Coronavirus test as he also announced his decision to observe self-isolation.
In a post on his verified twitter handle, Fayemi, who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF said he decided to observe the isolation following meetings he had with two people who had tested positive to the virus.
The Governor tweeted, “I just took a CoviD 19 test, having gone into self-isolation since yesterday evening. I’m asymptomatic and feel well, but I was in meetings with two people who had since tested positive.
Meanwhile, the Governor encouraged his colleagues to take the test too.
“I look forward to an all-clear and have encouraged all my colleagues to take the test.”
The Governor must have been present at the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and National Economic Council (NEC) meetings, which had Governor Bala Mohammed in attendance.
