Governor Kayode Fayemi joins the list of governors to contract COVID-19
Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti state has tested positive for COVID-19.
The governor gave this information through his Twitter handle on Wednesday morning. Fayemi says he is currently showing no symptoms and has proceeded to follow the NCDC guidelines by isolating himself at home. In his words,
“I took my third COVID-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I am generally ok and I am already self-isolating at home and receiving the best care from my medical team. I am delegating critical tasks to my deputy but will continue routine duty from home”
According to the Nigeria centre for disease control NCDC report, Nigeria is currently at 37801 confirmed cases of Coronavirus , 15677 discharged and 805 Deaths.
