The governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has disclosed that his government has began the deportation of Almajiris to their hometowns and states.
The governor said, the move is aimed reducing the risk of exposing them to coronavirus and the hardship that will be further experienced due to the lockdown.
Deportation of Almajiris
The Kano state government had already on the 16th of April 2020 issued a one week complete lockdown in the state after having recorded the state’s first index case.
As at the time of filing this report, the state has a total of thirty six (36) confirmed cases and has recorded one death since the outbreak of the virus in the state.
