The Ondo State government says it has two suspected cases of Coronavirus, but it is not leaving any stone unturned in its efforts to stop further spread of the virus amongst its residents.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro while stating this said the samples of the suspected victims have been sent to Lagos for proper clinical test.
He also disclosed that eleven family members and professional colleagues of the state’s index case of Coronavirus have been placed on isolation at the Army’s Owena Barracks in Akure the state capital.
Adegbenro listed the eleven persons to include the first patient’s wife, son and nine health officers as well as colleagues.
According to him, the first Coronavirus victim in the state is in a stable condition and responding to treatment, but those under isolation would have to complete the required 14 days period of the exercise they began since last week.
