Coronavirus in Nigeria: Akwa-Ibom Lifts Lockdown For 2 Days

Akwa-Ibom State government has announced a two day lift of the lockdown order placed on the state to stem the spread of Coronavirus.

Governor Udom Emmanuel said the lift will be from Friday to Saturday to enable the state residents re-stock foodstuffs, get medical prescriptions and other essentials.

While stressing the need for social distancing, personal hygiene use of hand sanitizer among other precautionary measures, Governor Udom also announced that the lockdown order has been extended by one week.

it would be recalled that Akwa-Ibom State has also had its fair share of the Coronavirus pandemic with six confirmed cases.
