Seven Borno State health workers have unfortunately tested positive for Coronavirus as the virus keeps spreading its tentacles across Nigeria with its number of confirmed cases almost reaching a thousand.
Secretary of the state COVID-19 response team, Dr Salihu Kwaya-Baru made this revelation while giving a daily briefing on the extent of the Coronavirus pandemic in the Borno State.
While expressing satisfaction on the level of compliance to the lockdown order in the state, Dr Kwaya-Baru explained that about 145 contacts in connection with the confirmed cases are presently being traced.
He, however, added that though the state is on the second day of its lockdown, the government is looking for ways to modify it for the sake of Ramadan.
” We are trying to see how we can allow those selling ice water, bean cake, tea and bread to operate within their wards so that people can break their fast.”
