Akwa-Ibom State government has confrimed that six of the Coronavirus victims in the state have been discharged from the state isolation centre at the Ibom Specialist Hospital Uyo after testing negative to the virus.
Head of the State Coronavirus Committee and Secretary to the State government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem gave the hint while talking with newsmen in the state.
According to him, three of the five index cases confirmed in the state two weeks ago are part of those discharged after recovering from the virus.
Ekuwem added that the other two victims are still positive for Coronavirus and are still receiving treatments.
While explaining further, he maintained that there are for additional four suspected cases under quarantined already. He said all the 66 contacts traced to the five index cases have tested negative to Coronavirus.
