Reverend Chris Okotie has reacted to talks about his political career that has been constantly falling and losing relevance in the political arena.
While fielding questions on a live television interview on AIT, Thursday 14, 2022, Okotie stated that the system had discouraged his participation in the Presidential Elections for the previous years and the forthcoming 2023 elections, respectively.
ChrisOkotie, however, did not mention whether he would venture into the political scenario again, stressing that there are so many factors, including the politicians, that are tarnishing the image of the nation as Democracy, according to him, is now seen as “Government for the party, by the party and of the party.”
Rev. Chris Okotie Calls for Reformation
He also spoke about some reformation, and restructuring, and asked that Nigeria needs to tailor its democratic practice to fit the country’s current reality.
He noted that today, he plays the role of a patriot in Nigeria, adding that if the power ever falls on his palm, he would first remove the irrelevant commissioners, and permanent secretaries, among several other departments, parastatals and agencies.
