CAF President Mr Ahmad Ahmad Test Positive for Covid-19
The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Mr Ahmad Ahmad has contracted Covid-19. He has gone into self-isolation that will last next two weeks. The African football ruling body’s Communications department confirmed on Friday.
The CAF President recent official trip was to Morocco and it was just last week. He went for the Confederation Cup during which he also signed CAF’s partnership agreement. The agreement was with the representatives of the International Center for Sport Security (ICSS) on Saturday, October 24.
It’s a partnership that will see ICSS boost safety, security, integrity, and youth empowerment in African football through CAF member associations.
He returned to CAF headquarters in Cairo on Wednesday this week. Gianni Infantino the Fifa President was confirmed positive for coronavirus recently now is the CAF President.
“After his arrival in Cairo on Wednesday, he presented mild flu symptoms and submitted to the Covid19 protocol. The result was released today and it came out to be positive. The President immediately self-isolate for at least the next 14 days at his hotel. All those who have come into contact with him over the past seven days will also self-isolate.
